Who Are the Real Online Influencers?

I recall the “good-old days” when I had to develop a number of these powerpoint decks for Weber Shandwick’s Global PR digital practice, screenGRAB. Trying to convince some clients that they needed to incorporate the digital landscape into their overall PR strategy was like pulling teeth. For many other clients, they immediately understood the need.

Terms like advocates vs “badvocates” were often used in order to educate the importance of incorporating the “right” influencers into the digital component of the campaign. However, at the time, there were fewer tools to use in order to pinpoint whom those “right” influencers were. After all, it was only 2007!
